Rainbow trout are commonly found in lakes, streams and rivers in Northern North America and in Asia. Our Rainbow Trout half mounts are anatomically correct half fish replicas that are intended to be displayed on the wall. A half sided mount is made by casting the front part of a two sided full mount mold. When up on the wall the circumference of the half mount is either touching the wall or very close to the wall. This process cuts times and material costs and therefore results in an afordable selling price even though the skin texture and finishing process is the same as a traditional mount.

We paint all our replicas to look alive. Rainbow trout are commonly caught displaying greenish brown backs with pinkish to reddish sides bands and covered in black spots. We finish with a UV Protective Urethane clear coat.

Installing Your RainbowTrout Mount
All our half mounts are complete with a resin hanger attached to the backside that runs parallel to the ground. Hold the half mount up on the wall, drill in a couple screws or hammer in a couple nails where you would like it to be and then hang your new Rainbow half mount. If your intentions are to put outside please contact us prior to ordering so we can evaluate whether this hanging system will work for you or if we need to discuss a different option.
